Hi all, i'm having troubles with my ATI drivers both for vista x64 and x86, tested both version (running now x86), after installing the latest beta drivers from ATI, appear the name of my card, Radeon 9550 with the exclamation mark and got this message "Error code (43Windows failed to initialize drivers (or similar) in device manager". If i use the XP drivers i got my both card (secondary too), can switch to better resolution but can't use Aero cuz that is not a LDDM compatible drivers. Any one know something about this?

I saw in some post that the issue was the AGP to PCI brigde, in my case NVIDIA nForce3 250 AGP Host to PCI Bridge. Since i'm using a nForce 3 250 chipset, the nvidia drivers for vista only came with audio and ethernet, no chipset. So i use the XP driver wich recognized it but still nothing. This is the forum where is saw that and i know i saw another one talking about it http://www.planetamd64.com/lofiversion/index.php/t23487.html
"Ok, found out the problem was with my AGP controller. I got it to work using the XP SP2 mode then reinstalled the ATI drivers.
Now it is working."
If anyone know about this pls

I'm assuming he reran nvidia's xp driver setup using compatibility mode. In explorer, right click on the nvidia setup file, go in to "properties" and then "compatability" checkmark compatibility mode and set to "xp sp2" compatibility, then run the file. Then try the ati drivers.
